
My Approach
I am a firm believer that the body is the best teacher. Our bodies are pre-programmed to tell us what to eat and when, if we can just train ourselves to listen and interpret those signals. My favorite approach to teach is intuitive eating and mindfulness techniques to help you regain control of your hunger and waistline.
By looking inward and exploring what your body is trying to teach you, you can figure out what nutrients you may be lacking or over-doing it with. Your body will give you clues to what you need to eat if you just listen and learn how to interpret those cues.
Food is meant to provide fuel and is meant to provide us with the energy we need to carry out our busy life's. Sometimes habits and hang-ups counteract those inner cues and our brain over rides them leading to disease, obesity, low energy, dysfunction, and early mortality.
Intuitive eating is all about learning to listen to your body again. Learning to listen to your internal hunger and satiety cues. It is about rebalancing your hormones and your relationship with food.
It is about learning what food can do for you and using it to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Throughout this process, ideally you will learn to make peace with food once and for all and learn how to love your body throughout the process for what it can do. Intuitive eating is client specific as every body is different.
I provide individualized nutrition and health consulting and meet you where you are to walk along side you on your journey to achieve a healthier lifestyle. I also design personalized meal plans and menus along with lifestyle coaching, recipe development, macro counting, grocery store outings, and group nutrition consulting to help you achieve your health and fitness goals whatever they may be.
Through learning how to take care of yourself, you will learn better ways to cope than with food. You WILL lose fat. Your energy WILL improve.
